Thanksgiving

Maddie wanted everyone to know this was a special holiday for her because there are so many things she is grateful for. First, her dear mother, who takes care of her from the break of dawn (or earlier) until she falls asleep. Her daddy, because he is her favorite form of entertainment and he always comes running at the first cry he hears. All of her grandparents, who love her so much and make sure she always has everything a baby could need (and more!). Smashed bananas, for being so delicious. Her bouncy chair, for teaching her how to bounce so she never has to be calm or still. And finally, her mom, because she loves her so much. Oh, did she already mention that? Well, she just wanted to say it again because that's how important it is to her.

Thanks for that Madeline. I had to type that for her because although she is 7 months and can communicate with me, she isn't able to type yet. She's only 7 months, give her a break. Anyway, for Thanksgiving we took our first road trip to Iowa to spend time with family. Maddie did great in the car and got to meet lots of new people including some of her cousins and her great-grandma Julie! Unfortunately, she was still too young to enjoy the traditional fondue and the Black Friday shopping. Maybe next year.

This is the only picture I had on my camera from this trip. Which probably makes my dad feel special but I swear we had more. Hmmm...
